So, after the obvious, just love the accent...really found this guys thoughts so so interesting. Not like a structured message, but like a flow of his thoughts. Would be such an interesting person just to listen to talk for a long, long time.
So just a few things that stood out to me as I was listening:
One of the most meaning things to me, is that essentially that its ok if we doubt. "When we doubt we stand in the very sight of Christ" like mother Teresa, its ok that she doubted her entire life, is actually very beautiful. I doubt, my entire life could be pretty well summed up with struggling doubts. but one of my favorite verses in the bible is mark 9:24, (its when http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Mark%209:14-27&version=NIV) when the father of a boy posed by an evil spirit comes to Jesus, and is begging Jesus to heal his son. And says "I believe. Help my unbelief." I love that juxtaposition- he wants to believe, but at the same time is asking Jesus to help with his doubt.
Couple other quotes:
"you seek God because you are seeking meaning, then you are seeking meaning...not actually God."
On Love: "i never needed you until i met, but once i met you i realized i always needed you."
"when someone is suffering, we want to say 'here's God', but maybe we need to suffer alongside the person."
"We cant treat God as an idol, just as an object to help us just get through life."
